About The Position

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-focused Class A driver to transport sharps and medical waste containers between its locations for disposal. The role serves the Shakopee/Des Moines route and involves operating vehicles up to 53-foot tractor trailers. The schedule is primarily Monday through Thursday, with routes between Des Moines, Shakopee, Sturtevant, and Tomah; an overnight hotel break is scheduled in Tomah. Requirements

• Class A commercial driver's license and hazardous-materials certification.
• Delivery experience driving a 53-foot tractor trailer.
• Driving experience involving manual handling.
• Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Clean driving record.
• Flexible, can-do attitude and strong customer focus.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours, and roadside inspections.
• Confidence with Level 1 through Level 3 road checks.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• On-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collect, deliver, and store medical waste containers at designated locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operate vehicles safely, including tractor trailers up to 53 feet.
• Complete deliveries on schedule and clearly communicate changes or challenges.
• Load and unload containers and organize the truck according to the schedule and needs.
• Manage routes according to leadership direction and provide timely, efficient, effective service.
• Comply with DOT regulations, log hours, and complete roadside inspections.
• Perform heavy lifting.
