About The Position

US Foods is seeking a CDL Shuttle Driver to join their team. The primary function of this position is to drive tractor trailers containing various products (meats, produce, frozen foods, dry goods, etc.) to and from remote dispatch sites. This role is crucial to the US Foods team and is one of the important faces of the organization. US Foods is a leading foodservice distributor with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs, and a continuous improvement focus.

Requirements

• Register to the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• 6 months commercial driving experience required
• Doubles endorsement required
• Must be comfortable working overnight
• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 6 months driving with doubles endorsements preferred
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to and from remote dispatch sites
• May be called upon to perform duties of Backhaul or Delivery Driver
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
