About The Position

We are seeking shuttle drivers to work in the Worcester area. These are steady, local routes. We operate walk-on 14 and 25 -passenger vehicles. These roles mostly transport hospital employees from their parking areas. We have partnered with UMass Memorial Medical Center since 1994, and are well established in the Worcester area. This position requires a CDL (w/ P endorsement) - earn $24/hour to start. Other opportunities for non-CDL drivers may also be posted separately. VPA offers weekly payroll - get a check, direct deposit, or a pay card each week! Currently, we are seeking a FT Driver to work 11am-7pm Monday through Friday, with the opportunity for OT on weekends as well. Other hours are also available.

Requirements

Valid CDL B or higher with Passenger Endorsed license in good standing
At least 20 years old
Licensed in the US for at least 3 years
Valid DOT Medical card

Responsibilities

Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
Opening and closing doors for patrons
Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
Recording passenger counts and trip times
Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
