About The Position

SP+ is seeking a CDL Shuttle Driver (DOT) for a hiring event in Fort Lee, NJ. SP+ is a leading company in parking solutions, utilizing AI for seamless parking experiences. They are the largest parking network in America and are focused on reinventing parking and creating checkout-free experiences to save people time. The Shuttle Driver will be responsible for the safe operation of shuttle buses, transporting passengers efficiently and safely to their destinations. This route operates in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

Requirements

  • Class A & B Passenger Endorsements with NO N2 Restrictions Required
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license to be carried at all times while on duty.
  • Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
  • Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid CDL Class A, B or C Driver’s License with Passenger Endorsement per DOT Regulations.
  • Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • Ability to perform mathematical operations using units of American money.
  • Maintain a neat and clean appearance and be in complete uniform at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Operate shuttle buses safely and transport passengers to their destinations in an efficient, safe, and seamless manner.
  • Deliver an exceptional client and customer experience, answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring positive customer interactions.
  • Perform vehicle inspections, maintain bus interior cleanliness, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
  • Be present at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
  • Report any accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards, or unusual occurrences to the Facility Manager.
  • Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
  • Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary and authorized.
  • Possess thorough knowledge of the garage, major streets, landmarks, and freeways in the area to assist customers.
  • Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items, if applicable.
  • Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
