About The Position
Road Runner Waste in ABQ, NM is seeking a safety-conscious CDL Route Driver. This position offers a $4,000 stay-on bonus and pays $23 per hour plus overtime. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday, with an average of 45-50 hours per week, and occasional Saturdays may be required.
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must have a 3-year clean MVR record.
Nice To Haves
- Waste experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
- Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
- Perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
- Perform physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
- Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
- Interact courteously with customers.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
