About The Position

GFL Environmental is seeking a skilled CDL Roll-Off Driver for their Brunswick / Bolivia, NC location. This full-time, regular position involves operating heavy-duty roll-off hoist trucks to transport waste, construction debris, or recyclable materials for commercial, industrial, and construction projects. The role offers a local schedule with drivers getting home daily. Responsibilities include safe driving and operation of the truck, loading and unloading containers and compactors using hydraulic mechanisms, navigating job sites, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, securing loads, adhering to safety guidelines, and professionally representing GFL to clients.

Requirements

Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in good standing.
Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to climb up and down from the truck cab/bed.
Ability to hook up heavy cables and safety chains throughout the shift.
Dependable work ethic.
Strong spatial awareness.
Commitment to keeping safety top-of-mind.
Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.

Nice To Haves

Roll-Off experience is a huge plus.
Transferable heavy-vehicle experience or CDL school certificates are welcome.

Responsibilities

Safely drive and operate heavy roll-off trucks to haul waste, construction debris, or recyclable materials across local routes.
Operate hydraulic hoist mechanisms to smoothly load, unload, and transport 10-to-40-yard containers and industrial compactors.
Navigate tight job sites, construction areas, and commercial properties using key maps, GPS, and mirror work.
Perform mandatory pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Secure heavy loads properly.
Adhere strictly to local, state, and company safety guidelines.
Serve as a trusted representative of GFL by interacting professionally with site managers, business owners, and local contractors.
