About The Position

Patriot Disposal is seeking a dependable Swing Driver with a CDL license to join their team. This is a full-time, year-round position where drivers operate garbage trucks on specified routes to collect solid waste. The role involves manual labor, including lifting and climbing, and requires safe operation of the truck and its hydraulic machinery. Drivers are responsible for route navigation, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring service to each customer. Requirements

Valid CDL License: Must have a Class A or B CDL with a current valid DOT medical certificate.
Physical Ability: Able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 lbs, climb in and out of the truck throughout the shift.
Basic Truck Knowledge: Ability to perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the truck and its components.

Responsibilities

Drive a rear load garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste in residential neighborhoods, construction sites, and other assigned areas.
Lift and climb in and out of the truck, and lift objects up to 70 lbs.
Read route sheets and service each customer on the route as assigned by the dispatcher.
Operate lever hand controls for hydraulic machinery to collect and dump waste.
Conduct basic inspections of truck components to ensure the vehicle is safe and ready for the route.
