About The Position

LINX is looking for a Shuttle Driver based in Monroe, LA to transport our field crew between the job site and their lodging. This is not a driving-only position — the majority of the role will be spent on-site training as a Low Voltage Technician, learning structured cabling, terminations, and rack/patch panel work alongside the crew. We're looking for someone dependable, coachable, and eager to build a career in the trade, not just log hours behind the wheel.

  • Prior experience driving a school bus, shuttle, van, or similar passenger vehicle.
  • Clean driving record; reliable, punctual, and comfortable driving a passenger van/bus on a fixed schedule.
  • Willingness and ability to work on ladders, use power tools, and lift/carry/set up a 50-pound box or ladder as part of on-site training.
  • Must own basic low voltage tools (snips, strippers, screwdrivers, wrenches) or be willing to acquire them.
  • Flexible availability for staggered shift start times (as early as 5:00 AM) with an extra hour on each end of the shift for vehicle staging.
  • Must pass a 7-year background check, drug screen, and physical.
  • Requires proof of auto insurance.
  • Strong, positive attitude and reliability

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport the crew in a passenger van/bus between the job site and lodging on a set schedule.
  • Report to duty approximately one hour before the crew's shift start and remain on duty approximately one hour after shift end to handle parking/staging of the vehicle.
