About The Position

Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated CDL Mechanic/Lube Tech to join our team. The individual hired in this position would be responsible for performing mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment including troubleshooting and repairs of heavy equipment, rebuilds, removal and installation of mechanical parts, and preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment. This will be located at our Woodbine Quarry in Chapman, KS.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 5 years of experience with CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engine repairs
• A CDL and a clean driving record
• Must have a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

• Certification from a trade school is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs on diesel-powered mobile equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair heavy equipment
• Perform rebuilds
• Remove and install mechanical parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on all types of diesel-powered equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant mobile equipment including CAT, Komatsu & Volvo quarry/construction equipment/ diesel engines
• Weld, cut and perform minor fabrication on plant or mobile equipment
• Other duties as assigned
