About The Position

Safety-Kleen, a subsidiary of Clean Harbors, is seeking a Driver Class B Route Driver in Brunswick, Ohio. The role trains the driver to operate a Class B box truck to provide onsite service for parts washer machines, pick up containerized hazardous waste, and sell products and services on a defined route. Safety-Kleen will pay for the employee to obtain a CDL. Drivers may visit 10–12 customer sites per day and serve automotive repair, fleet, and manufacturing businesses.

Requirements

• Class B CDL.
• Obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to perform physical functions required by the job.
• Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, as applicable to the position.
• Employees whose positions require respirators must meet facial hair standards under OSHA’s Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.134.

Nice To Haves

• Commercial route driving experience (Class C or Non-CDL).
• Strong customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safe work practices, policies, and processes, keeping health and safety the top priority.
• Visit customer sites, potentially 10–12 per day.
• Switch out 15- and 30-gallon drums of solutions.
• Service parts washer machines and clean sediment from sinks.
• Upsell at customer locations and generate new leads in the field.
• Complete scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups on time.
• Follow local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and applicable local, state, and federal requirements.
• Observe company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
