CDL Heavy Equipment Operator
About The Position
Looking for an opportunity where success comes naturally? Then you may have found your crew. We’re looking for an Equipment Operator to join our team. The Equipment Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include trucks, front end loaders, track hoes, dozers, trenchers, loaders and other pieces of equipment. Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures. Majority of your work would be installing electrical and gas lines for local utility companies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in equipment operating and maintenance
- Valid drivers license with a CDL Class A
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and randoms
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Follow all Company policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Operating heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner in order to minimize the risk of injury, property damage or loss of life.
- Performing daily safety and maintenance check.
- Cleaning heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
- Ensuring heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
- Advising Foreman or supervisors of any requirements for maintenance or repairs
- Participating in routine maintenance
- Practicing workplace safety
- Maintaining job site inventory
- Filling out proper paperwork
