About The Position

Quick Supply Co. is immediately hiring full-time CDL Drivers with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements in the Alpena, MI area. Our Drivers transport bulk and packaged products to customer job sites, operate our vehicles to manufacture and deliver product into blast holes and provide general blast crew labor as needed. This position requires a valid CDL Class A or B with current Hazmat and Tank endorsements as well as current medical certification. If you need either of these endorsements, we will assist you in obtaining them within 90 days of hire. This position requires willingness to spend two days per week overnight near the work site. Active-Duty Military/Veterans are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. and cannot be sponsored for an employment visa. Applicants must also pass a background check, a DOT drug screening, have a clean Motor Vehicle Report, and pass Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) pre-employment screening requirements.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Must possess a valid CDL license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements and current medical certification.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check conducted by the ATF to possess and handle explosives.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and handle physically demanding work outdoors on a daily basis.
  • Must be able to work under various weather conditions on rough terrain.
  • Must be self-motivated, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT drug screening.
  • Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must pass Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) pre-employment screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Transport bulk and packaged products to customer job sites.
  • Operate vehicles to manufacture and deliver product into blast holes.
  • Provide general blast crew labor as needed.
  • Ensure safety and compliance are the first priority in daily responsibilities.
  • Be reliable and able to work closely with other location and crew members to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Load and unload vehicles ensuring products are handled, transported and stored according to policy and regulations.
  • Work outdoors in all types of weather, lifting and carrying 50 pounds or more of product and material on a regular basis.
  • Pull hoses, shovel and frequently walk, bend or squat.
  • Attend training and demonstrate knowledge and competence of vehicle operating systems and product application.
  • Be available to work overtime to meet customer objectives.
