Position Summary: Class A CDL HazMat Driver to transport and deliver petroleum products up to and including 105,500 lb. loads to specified destinations. Support the Key Customer Requirements of Tyree Oil: Safety, Quality, Dependability, Hospitality, Integrity, Accuracy, Cleanliness, and Value.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2+ years operating CDL HazMat-licensed vehicles / performing driver duties in adverse to extreme weather conditions.
  • Class A CDL with Tanker and HazMat Endorsements; no Air Brake or Automatic Transmission restrictions.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • DOT Medical Card, TWIC Card, and safety certifications as required.
  • Post-offer background check required.
  • Post-offer drug test required.
  • DOT Covered.
  • Safety-Sensitive Position.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong computer and device skills across common office and industry platforms
  • Experience with ExxonMobil lubricant products a plus
  • Current MSHA 46/48 credentials
  • Smith System Driving Certificate
  • Current CPR / AED / First Aid certification
  • Experience as an official PIC (Person In Charge) for over-the-water product transfers
  • TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
  • eRailSafe certified

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the correct product and quantity is being loaded in the correct compartment of the trailer at the tank farm.
  • Process all tank farm paperwork in accordance with Company procedures and standards.
  • Utilize the shortest and safest routes to the delivery destinations.
  • Check customer tanks to verify what products are held.
  • Stick each tank and record beginning inches before delivery.
  • Complete customer invoice with the correct amount of fuel delivered, price, and amount due for that delivery.
  • Maintain the appearance of the truck and trailer, inside and out.
  • Maintain truck inventory items, including spill pads, metal bucket, flags, and correct nozzles.
  • Other duties as assigned.
