About The Position

Coastal Waste & Recycling is hiring a driver to safely operate a truck on assigned routes and service customers. The role involves collecting, transporting, delivering, exchanging, or disposing of materials while providing professional customer service and representing the company. Drivers are expected to help teammates or assist with other operational needs after completing their route, as directed by management. Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles and associated equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Ability to safely climb, bend, squat, kneel, and enter and exit equipment throughout the workday.
• Willingness to work overtime and varying schedules as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a truck on assigned routes.
• Service residential, commercial, industrial, or municipal customers based on the assigned route.
• Collect, transport, deliver, exchange, or dispose of materials according to operational procedures.
• Operate hydraulic equipment and vehicle controls safely and efficiently.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Promptly report mechanical concerns, safety issues, accidents, or route delays.
• Communicate with dispatch and operations throughout the day.
• Use onboard technology and electronic devices to complete route documentation.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional vehicle.
• Assist teammates with their routes or other operational needs as directed by management.
• Follow DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service and represent Coastal Waste & Recycling professionally.
