About The Position

GFL Environmental is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious CDL Front-End Driver to join their team in Kinston, NC. This full-time, regular position involves operating high-powered front-load equipment to service commercial and multi-family residential customers. The role offers a local route where drivers can be their own boss on the road and return home nightly. GFL emphasizes environmental responsibility, with 'green' being central to their mission.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL Class A or B) in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial truck driving experience OR a certificate from an accredited CDL school.
• Ability to safely operate and back up heavy equipment in busy commercial areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, open corral gates, and perform physical pre/post-trip inspections.
• A strong work ethic, safety-first mindset, and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
• Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located.
• Provide valid documentation confirming eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial front-load vehicles along assigned routes to service businesses and commercial properties.
• Operate hydraulics and controls to lift and dump commercial dumpsters smoothly and safely.
• Positively interact with local business owners and community members along the daily route.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs.
• Follow all safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Use GPS and route maps to navigate commercial parking lots and tight spaces safely.
