About The Position

Capital Waste Services (CWS) is seeking a safety-conscious and dependable Front-End Driver to service commercial waste containers throughout an assigned route. This position operates a Front-End Loader (FEL) truck to safely service commercial dumpsters while providing exceptional customer service and maintaining compliance with all DOT, company, and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, and committed to operating safely while maintaining high service standards. This role requires working independently, managing time effectively, and representing Capital Waste Services in a professional manner with customers and the communities we serve.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurability requirements.
  • Ability to pass DOT drug screening, background check, and physical examination.
  • Minimum age of 21 years.
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles in varying weather and traffic conditions.
  • Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with Front-End Loader (FEL) trucks.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous front end, commercial waste, sanitation, or heavy equipment experience.
  • Waste industry experience.
  • Experience driving automated commercial vehicles or heavy trucks.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a Front-End Loader (FEL) truck to collect and transport commercial waste.
  • Complete assigned routes efficiently and according to established schedules.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Ensure proper servicing of commercial containers while minimizing property damage.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Interact professionally with customers and address service-related concerns appropriately.
  • Use route management technology and onboard systems as required.
  • Keep vehicles clean and in good operating condition.
  • Report accidents, incidents, equipment failures, and safety hazards immediately.
  • Complete route documentation, inspection reports, and other required paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Assist with training new drivers when assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
