About The Position
Tejas Equipment Rental, a family-owned company with over 50 years of experience, is seeking a CDL Equipment Driver for their San Benito branch. This full-time position involves safely transporting construction equipment to and from job sites and branches, loading and unloading various equipment, and performing inspections. The role requires excellent customer service, problem-solving skills, and adherence to company core values such as teamwork, growth orientation, mentoring, and a 'Get 'Er Done' attitude.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
- Current DOT medical card (or ability to obtain one)
- A strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and represent the Tejas brand with pride
- Pre-employment drug screening required
Nice To Haves
- Experience hauling heavy equipment
- Knowledge of load securement and DOT regulations
Responsibilities
- Safely transport construction equipment to and from job sites and branches across the region
- Load, unload, and secure a variety of equipment - mini excavators, skid steers, lifts, and more
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections
- Deliver top-tier service with every drop-off and pick-up
- Problem-solve on the fly and keep the day moving when plans change
