The AIS Infrastructure Group consists of four heavy civil construction companies. Our services include infrastructure improvement, heavy civil construction, and site development for government and state agencies and private enterprise across the United States. This position is responsible for safely moving dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials around a construction site using a dump truck and/or haul truck. Follows all safety requirements and procedures outlined by all regulatory agencies and company policies. Perform daily truck equipment inspections and all required safety equipment including, but not limited to, tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil and water, etc. before each shift to ensure equipment is safe for usage. Completes written daily inspection report as required. Submits request for maintenance for any repair items. Maintains truck logs or time recordings as required by state, federal, and company policies and regulations. Position may involve performing other duties as required, which may not be mentioned below. Specific functions may change from time to time. Drive and maneuver equipment loaded and unloaded and be able to maneuver truck for safe dumping. Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Be able to quickly and repeatedly adjust controls of machine to exact positions as necessary. Learn, follow, and promote all safety regulations AIS Infrastructure and its customers. Communicate clearly, listen to, and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response. Work occasional weekends, holidays, and/or overtime. Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.
