Drives YMCA buses, providing a safe and efficient means of transportation for YMCA members, volunteers, participants, and employees. Ensures that all passengers are seated before moving the vehicle. Ensures the vehicle has an accident reporting kit and First Aid kit with Bloodborne Pathogen equipment. Preinspects vehicle before leaving the YMCA and on returning, using the pre-trip/post trip inspection report. Reports all accidents and vehicle damage to the Executive Director immediately. Properly secures vehicle ensuring there is at least a half tank of gas for the next driver, removes all trash or lost and found articles from the vehicle, and closes all windows and locks all doors. Identifies any replacement items needed for the First Aid kit and report them to the Executive Director. Returns all completed inspection sheets to the Executive Director. Transports vehicles through inspection as needed. Makes sure tags and registrations are valid by reporting them to the Transportation Director within 30 days prior to expiration. Other duties as required.
