About The Position

Gowan/Garrett, Inc. is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Driver to support operations by transporting tools, equipment, materials, and supplies to jobsites and facilities. The Driver is responsible for ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining compliance with all safety requirements, and representing the company in a professional manner while operating company vehicles. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and commitment to safety.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of commercial driving, delivery, construction, or related experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
  • CDL preferred for operation of CDL-regulated vehicles
  • Experience pulling trailers and operating lift-gate trucks preferred
  • Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company policies, OSHA regulations, and established safety programs
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, integrity and accountability ethics and is a respectful team player.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with employees, supervisors, vendors, and customers
  • Ability to read, understand, and complete delivery documentation and related records
  • Ability to make sound decisions and produce accurate, timely results
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Dependable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to company values and safety standards

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
  • Transport tools, equipment, materials, parts, and supplies to designated locations
  • Load, unload, and secure materials for transport
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or repair needs
  • Maintain delivery documentation and vehicle records as required
  • Assist with material organization, inventory control, and other operational support activities
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, OSHA regulations, and established safety programs
