Requirements

Class A CDL License
21 Years of Age
Clean Driving Record
6 months to 1 year DOT driving experience
Must be able to operate a truck with a manual transmission.
Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Reading and understanding the information and ideas presented in writing is required.
Must be able to pass all DOT and insurance regulations.
Pre-employment drug screening will be required post-offer.

Responsibilities

Follow safety rules and work procedures.
Drives 24' straight truck and tractor and trailer to transport materials to and from specified destinations by applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and area roads.
Prepare receipts for the load picked up.
Maintained truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
Position blocks and/or tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
May load and unload truck; inspect truck equipment and supplies, such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
Clean the work area or vehicle.
Performs other duties as needed.
