Requirements
- Position is located in Belton, SC
- Ability and experience operating a CDL manual transmission
- Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
- Possess a clean safety and driving record
- Be able to lift 50 pounds, climb in and out of the cab of the truck repeatedly, bend, stoop, twist, and reach, and grasp.
Nice To Haves
- Waste experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
- Read route sheets and service each customer identified on the sheet or assigned by the dispatcher.
- Perform thorough pre and post trip inspections of CDL vehicle and identify any areas requiring attention.
- Perform a physically demanding job, loading and unloading, at times with no helpers.
- Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift/load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
- Courteous interaction with customers.
- Perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
