About The Position
Southern Tire Mart is seeking a dedicated CDL Driver to join our team. This role involves the safe operation of company trucks for the delivery and pick-up of commercial tires and related products. The ideal candidate will be committed to safety, customer service, and adhering to all regulations. Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
- Ability to lift/move tires weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
Nice To Haves
- Previous delivery or warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Overtime maybe required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company trucks to deliver and pick up commercial tires and related products.
- Load and unload tires, wheels, and related equipment using proper safety techniques.
- Ensure accurate delivery documentation, including invoices, delivery tickets, and customer signatures.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, reporting any vehicle maintenance or safety issues.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Provide excellent customer service at delivery and pick-up locations.
- Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including inventory counts and organizing stock.
