About The Position
QXO, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver to join their team. This role involves performing touch-freight tasks, pre-inspecting trucks, loading materials, and ensuring the safe delivery of products. The driver will maintain communication with dispatch, adhere to safety procedures, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing
- At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Perform touch-freight tasks, which may require lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs
- Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the accuracy of the load
- Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site
- Set up job parameters and inspect the site to ensure a safe environment for loading and unloading
- Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of products
- Follow all DOT and company safety procedures, and always wear appropriate PPE
