About The Position

Foundation Building Materials (FBM) CDL Drivers deliver materials safely, efficiently, and professionally to customer project sites. The position involves local routes and daily home time, operating company vehicles up to 26 feet while following Department of Transportation regulations. Drivers inspect vehicles, unload and stage materials according to customer instructions, verify deliveries against packing slips, and provide courteous customer service. The role also includes safety and warehouse responsibilities, participation in required meetings and training, and support for the company’s values. It is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Requirements

Possess a valid Class A or Class B CDL.
Have a minimum of 1 year of consistent commercial driving experience.
Work well in a team environment.
Have a basic understanding of forklift and other equipment operation.
Have a basic understanding of building materials.
Be able to learn to operate a forklift and other company vehicles.
Be able to understand and use tools and equipment such as dollies, flat carts, and rock carts.

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks up to 26 feet, in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy.
Deliver materials on time to customer project sites and provide excellent customer service.
Unload, protect, move, and stage materials according to customer instructions.
Verify deliveries against packing slips.
Represent the company professionally and courteously during deliveries.
Follow applicable driving regulations and safety protocols, including seatbelt requirements and OSHA requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.
Use proper lifting techniques and wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes, and clothing.
Attend and participate in required meetings and company training programs.

Perform other duties as assigned.
