About The Position

The CDL Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services in support of airport operations, construction programs, and project teams. This position plays a critical role in transporting personnel, contractors, visitors, and materials throughout airport facilities while ensuring compliance with all airport safety, security, and operational requirements. The successful candidate will maintain professional standards of customer service, vehicle operation, and regulatory compliance in a dynamic airport environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Passenger (P) Endorsement required.
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience operating commercial passenger vehicles in an active airport environment.
  • Experience transporting airport personnel, contractors, airline employees, and project staff.
  • Knowledge of airport roadways, airside and landside operations, and airport security procedures.
  • Ability to pass airport background checks and obtain required security clearances.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as operational needs require.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting major airport construction or capital improvement programs.
  • Experience operating shuttle buses, crew vans, passenger transport vehicles, or commercial buses.
  • Familiarity with FAA, TSA, and airport operational requirements.
  • Experience working in and around active construction zones.
  • Knowledge of airport logistics and transportation coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport airport personnel, project teams, contractors, visitors, and stakeholders throughout airport facilities and designated operational areas.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete required vehicle condition reports.
  • Ensure compliance with airport safety, security, traffic, and operational regulations.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and assignments with project management teams and airport operations personnel.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle logs, mileage records, fuel usage reports, and maintenance documentation.
  • Assist with the transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies as operational needs require.
  • Support emergency response activities and special airport operational requirements.
  • Report accidents, incidents, hazards, maintenance concerns, and safety issues immediately.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service while interacting with airport staff, contractors, passengers, and project stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of ongoing construction activities, restricted access areas, and changing traffic patterns throughout the airport.
  • Assist with special transportation requests and operational support assignments as directed.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
