About The Position

Requirements

• Maintain Class A CDL license.
• Must provide a medical certificate.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and be subject to random testing.
• Must have clean driving record.
• Team Player – working well with others.
• Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 70 pounds.
• Must have full use of arms, legs and good finger dexterity.
• Must be able to climb stairs, reach above and at shoulder level, and work on or with moving machinery, in outside temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
• Help achieve the cooperative’s mission and goals.
• Perform outstanding customer service.
• Promptly deliver and pick up merchandise.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues (thorough pre/post trips) and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete and turn in all driver paperwork (i.e. manifests, shipping papers, HOS logs, etc.).
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Load and unload merchandise.
• Report defects, accidents or violations to manager.
