About The Position

Alaska Waste, a Waste Connections Company, is seeking a Local CDL Driver in Wasilla, Alaska. This full-time position offers a stable job with great pay, comprehensive benefits, and a supportive team environment. The driver will operate a commercial CDL truck on assigned local routes, collecting residential/commercial waste and recycling, performing vehicle inspections, and providing excellent customer service. This is an active, hands-on outdoor job that requires physical work in various weather conditions.

Requirements

• Valid Class B CDL (with air brakes)
• Clean driving record
• 1+ year of experience in commercial or route driving
• Comfortable working outdoors, in all weather
• Reliable, friendly, and a team player

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial CDL truck on assigned local routes
• Pick up residential/commercial waste & recycling
• Perform pre/post trip inspections (fluids, tires, safety checks)
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and customers
• Lift and move heavy materials (50+ lbs)
• Deliver top-tier customer service every step of the way
