About The Position

We are searching for an experienced CDL Driver at our DDG 75-Mount Pleasant-TX facility. Dexter is the premier manufacturer and supplier of axles, suspension, brakes, doors, venting products, trailer parts, accessories, and towing components serving the commercial trailer, RV, heavy-duty, marine, agriculture, and manufactured housing markets has an opportunity for a CDL Driver at our manufacturing facility located in Mount Pleasant, TN. Headquartered in Elkhart, Indiana, Dexter has manufacturing and distribution locations throughout the U.S. and Canada. Requirements

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Valid Class A CDL Required.
• 1 year experience, including manual.
• Proven working experience as a commercial truck driver.
• Clean driving record - No DWI/DUI in the last 10 years.
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly.
• Knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Local deliveries, home nights and weekends.
• Deliver trailer and trailer products while operating a tractor-trailer truck, spanning several states to internal branches timely.
• Record amount and type of cargo being delivered.
• Report to a dispatcher any incidents encountered on the road.
• Monitor road conditions and watch for traffic congestion.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws.
• Inspect their trailer before and after the trip and record any defects they find.
• Follow accident procedures if an accident occurs.
• Keep a log of activities.
• Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel.
• Take rest periods during trip, take special precautions while driving.
