About The Position

Roberts Oxygen is hiring a local route delivery driver in Clearwater, Florida. The driver makes safe, timely, and accurate deliveries of industrial, medical, and specialty gases and equipment, builds customer relationships, and works with internal production teams. The role involves operating a company truck, following computer-generated delivery routes, using handheld computers for customer transactions and compliance, and handling cylinders and other goods. Drivers must be available for after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.

Requirements

• Current Class A or Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or willingness to obtain the endorsements.
• Ability to lift 100 pounds.
• High school education or equivalent.
• Excellent driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings if selected.
• Reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to safety, accuracy, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company trucks and equipment.
• Represent the company and build customer relationships through appropriate, high-quality customer interactions.
• Read maps and select routes to delivery locations while following computer-generated route and sequence plans.
• Use handheld computers for customer transaction paperwork and compliance needs.
• Handle, maneuver, load, and organize high-pressure and cryogenic cylinders and palletized hard goods on trucks and trailers.
• Follow company policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations and laws.
• Cover after-hours, weekend, holiday, and on-call work as business requires.
