About The Position

MKB Company is hiring a CDL Driver for local routes, transporting finished products to customers and warehouses. You’ll be home every night and play a key role in supporting our logistics by safely operating semi-trucks (including dump and flatbed trailers) to move materials between production sites, stores, and customer locations. Requirements

  • Experience operating Class 8 vehicles, including dump, flatbed (with forklift), or live floor trailers.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial vehicle safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with local roadways and interstates.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and customers.
  • Skilled in backing and navigating tight delivery areas.
  • Comfortable using smartphone-based dispatch apps.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid Class A CDL required.
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable experience driving Class 8 vehicles.
  • Must be 21 years or older with an acceptable driving record.
  • Must pass pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check (including MVR).
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Operate semi-trucks with dump and flatbed trailers to transport finished products between sites, customers, warehouses, and job sites.
  • Drive local routes and occasional overnight trips to TN.
  • Navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites, and high-traffic roadways; occasionally operate in tight or low-clearance environments.
  • Clean trailers after each load to minimize contamination.
  • Communicate with dispatch, managers, and customers to ensure accurate service and routing.
  • Properly place deliveries at customer sites without obstructing traffic or access.
  • Complete daily paperwork and route assignments as required.
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working order.
  • Maintain truck cleanliness (interior and exterior).
  • Fuel and service equipment as needed.
  • Report maintenance issues and assist with preventative maintenance.
  • Follow all DOT safety protocols, including seatbelt use and mobile device restrictions.
  • Report any safety incidents or concerns immediately.
  • Use all required PPE.
  • Participate in all safety briefings and training sessions.
  • Complete daily inspection reports (DVIR), load logs, and customer delivery tickets.
