About The Position

The CDL Driver (Class A or B) is responsible for safely, professionally, and punctually transporting building materials, construction products, and equipment to customers and job sites. The role includes loading, unloading, securing, and verifying materials while complying with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards. Depending on the business unit, deliveries may include oversized, specialized, or engineered building components. The position is suited to a safety-focused, dependable, customer-oriented person comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Transport building materials, construction products, and equipment to customer locations and job sites safely and on time.
Perform touch-freight tasks, which may involve lifting, moving, or carrying products weighing over 75 lbs.
Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
Notify branch management of potential hazards at a site.
Set up job parameters and inspect sites to ensure safe loading and unloading conditions.
Communicate regularly with the dispatcher to support timely deliveries.
Follow DOT and company safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
