About The Position
The CDL Driver safely and efficiently operates a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and applicable federal and state regulations, delivering freight undamaged. The role works as part of a team to deliver, load, and unload building materials while providing professional, customer-focused service. Work is primarily outdoors at active construction and customer sites in varying weather conditions, with regular vehicle operation and material handling. Early starts, overtime, and schedule flexibility may be required to meet customer and operational needs.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license; minimum Class B license.
- Clear three-year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- General knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 100 pounds, with assistance or mechanical equipment as needed.
- Ability to communicate accurately with management and coworkers.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of driving, loading, unloading, and working at job sites.
Nice To Haves
- Class A commercial driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Inspect trucks and trailers for defects to ensure safe operation.
- Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
- Deliver materials to customer-designated areas while prioritizing personal and public safety.
- Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Report accidents involving the driver or company equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
- Follow transportation safety regulations and company safety procedures.
