About The Position

Come join our team as a CDL Driver! This is a project based position lasting around 6 months with the potential to become full-time. No benefits will be offered, but you will earn holiday pay for any company holidays.

Requirements

  • Possess the physical ability to stand for an entire shift, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, squat, bend, twist, and have visual acuity for quality inspection.
  • Ability to work at heights above ground level.
  • Forklift Certification – ability to operate stand-up or sit-down forklift a safe manner.
  • Reading, writing, understanding basic math including weight conversions and calculations.
  • Number sequences and color codes.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Maintain a current and unrestricted Commercial Driver’s License for tractor trailer and fulfill all appropriate regulatory requirements in relation to this function.
  • Acceptable background check and drug test.
  • Must maintain a current driver’s license as appropriate for vehicle (ie box truck vs. tractor trailer) and personal vehicle insurance if driving ALULA vehicle.
  • A valid NC Driver’s License must be acquired within 60 days of hire, if current license is issued by another state.

Nice To Haves

  • Material Handling or shipping/receiving experience is a plus.
  • Computer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the movement of raw and finished goods from warehouse to warehouse or main facility.
  • Perform functions, including but not limited to, labeling, sorting, organizing, wrapping, packing, or re-packing.
  • Complete required shipping and receiving documentation in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily Power Industrial Inspection Forms and any other required forms.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure employee safety, regulatory compliance, product and material integrity. This includes sanitation tasks assigned.
  • Communicate with appropriate personnel concerning quality, food safety, product/material safety.
  • Assist in upkeep of battery powered lifting apparatus.
  • Maintain current certifications and attend all training related to any material handling equipment.
  • Individually and collectively responsible for ensuring compliance with GMP’s, OSHA, USDA, and any appropriate third party.
  • Load and unload trucks in shipping and receiving area or off-site warehouse in a timely manner.
  • Follow FIFO when loading raw material for the main facility.
  • Move raw product and finished product for storage or shipping using ALULA GMP’s and SOPs.
  • Incoming and outgoing items are to be inspected to verify that identifying information is accurate. This included checking for damage, shortage, or overage.
  • Communicate any issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Individually and collectively responsible for recording Tractor unit #, milage and initials on all gas receipts for Fleet Services.
  • Individually and collectively responsible for sending Odometer readings for trailers when prompted by management and sending them to warehouse management.
  • Complete driver’s daily vehicle inspection report daily and report all issues to warehouse management as soon as possible.
