About The Position
Trex is seeking a backup CDL Driver to support production and quality goals. This role ensures the timely movement of material trailers between the main plant and Polyco to prevent stock-outs, verifies daily trailer weighing, and inspects trailers for damage. On days not driving, the backup driver will support warehouse employees with sorting, inventory management of raw materials, and other tasks assigned by the plant supervisor. This is a Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm, 8-hour position and a key member of the Operations team.
Requirements
- Experienced CDL Driver with a proven track record of safe and timely deliveries.
- Prefer a minimum of 5 years professional driving experience operating various commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and box trucks.
- Skilled DOT compliance, and vehicle inspections. is required for this role
Responsibilities

- Inspect trailers for damage daily to ensure the fleet remains intact (specifically trailers that are moved)
- Unloading and put away of inbound shell stock loads and packaging as required
- Unloading of pallet and gaylord trailers from the plant
- Assist in plant film and repro loading for the plant
- Perform bulk loading of material for the plant when required
- Assist in cleanup and organization of the warehouse
