About The Position

Encore Pavement is a full-service concrete and asphalt paving company headquartered in Wichita, Kansas, serving commercial, industrial, and residential customers throughout the Midwest. They are seeking a dedicated and hardworking CDL Dump Truck Driver to join their team. The Dump Truck Driver is responsible for hauling asphalt, millings, crushed concrete, rock, sand, and dirt to and from job sites and local plants. Key responsibilities include ensuring timely and safe delivery of products, preventing contamination, maintaining a clean truck, and promptly reporting any mechanical issues for repair.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years old
  • Possess a valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record
  • Possess or be able to obtain a medical card
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screens, and a background check
  • Pintle hitch knowledge, hooking up and pulling
  • Combination vehicle experience
  • ELD knowledge through a driving app
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to communicate to mechanics about truck/trailer issues
  • Ability and knowledge on how to secure equipment safely

Nice To Haves

  • Samsara knowledge
  • 2 years construction environment experience
  • Air brake experience

Responsibilities

  • Be able-bodied, capable of lifting 50 lbs., and be able to climb in and out of a trailer if necessary
  • Collaborate with crew members to ensure efficient workflow and quality outcomes
  • Be a reliable team player that shows up on time and has a strong work ethic
  • Have attention to detail, ability to follow instructions from leadership, and have great communication skills
  • Possess physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor tasks
  • Possess the driving skill to safely back into and maneuver through jobsites
  • Maintain self-discipline to remain motivated when working alone
  • Be willing to help asphalt and concrete crews when driving is not needed
  • Be available to work 8-12+ hours a day and travel weekly/overnight all over Kansas and surrounding states
  • Follow and adhere to all safety related protocols
  • Perform daily maintenance checks and report any mechanical or safety issues to a supervisor
