About The Position

Arrow Sewer and Drain LLC is a locally owned and operated sewer, drain, and plumbing excavation company serving both residential and commercial customers. We specialize in diagnosing complex plumbing and sewer issues, performing precision repairs, and providing full excavation and replacement services when necessary. The CDL (Class A) Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Transporter/Heavy Equipment Transporter is responsible for hauling large plumbing and sewer-related equipment (such as excavators, hydro jetters, vacuum trucks, trenchers, and skid steers) between job sites, our main yard, and vendor locations. The role requires precision, safety awareness, and a strong understanding of DOT regulations.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license.
  • Pass Pre-Employment Drug Screening
  • At least 5 years of experience hauling heavy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of load securement and hauling best practices.
  • Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
  • Ability to occasionally assist with equipment setup or minor site duties.
  • Proficiency with GPS and navigation systems.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to lift, bend, stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Basic mechanic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Load, secure (chains, straps), transport, and unload heavy plumbing/sewer equipment using flatbed and/or lowboy trailers.
  • Operate company trucks (tractor-trailers, etc.) on local and long-haul routes, ensuring safe and efficient deliveries.
  • Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections of trucks, trailers, and securement devices; report defects and perform basic preventative maintenance.
  • Comply with all federal (DOT) and state traffic laws, maintain ELD logs, and uphold a clean driving record.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately, including trip logs, load summaries, fuel records, inspection reports, and delivery receipts.
  • Communicate with dispatch and supervisors using phones and GPS systems.
  • Assist field teams with equipment positioning, delivery timing, and job-site coordination.
  • Ensure all gas- and diesel-powered tools and equipment are fueled and ready for job-site use, including filling extra fuel cans as needed.
  • Treat all company vehicles, tools, and assets with care and respect.
  • Duties and work hours may vary based on operational needs.
