This role is for a customer-oriented CDL Driver responsible for the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts, with additional general warehouse duties. The shift is Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age or older
  • Valid CDL (commercial driver's license) and be able to pass MVR (motor vehicle record).
  • Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
  • Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, and power tools. You will also use push carts and rolling ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to be on your stand for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol.
  • Deliver products varying in size to different sites by following procedures (e.g. adherence to driver manifest and documentation).
  • Provides associates with possible solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise; reports observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Loads and unloads materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment (e.g., forklift).
  • Receive and check in deliveries, pickups and returns to insure quality and quantity of products.
  • Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment.
  • Sweep floors remove trash and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders. Orders range from a small box to pallets.
  • Record losses of damaged or defective materials.
