About The Position

The CDL Driver is responsible for moving loaded and empty trailers in and out of docks, and shuttling trailers between locations. This role involves performing manual duties, ensuring product integrity, completing documentation accurately, and maintaining the cleanliness of the assigned tractor. The driver will also communicate any issues to the shift supervisor and adhere to all safety and security standards.

Requirements

One (1) year CDL driver experience.
Basic computer or tablet skills.
Hand-held radio operation.
Valid Class A CDL license.
Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner with others.
Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to read and write simple sentences.
Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, ethnicity, religion, or job type.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers, co-workers and management.
Ability to maintain a level of production that meets or exceeds the established guidelines.
Ability to work independently without interruptions.
Ability to complete necessary paperwork neatly and accurately and according to established guidelines.
Ability to verify paperwork necessary to ensure customer is receiving correct product.
Ability to inspect condition of product received and product going out to ensure quality.
Ability to follow a systematic method of performing a task.

Responsibilities

Moves loaded and empty trailers in and out of the docks.
Shuttles empty and loaded trailers from Conway AR to and back.
Performs manual duties out of the truck as assigned.
Ensures product or equipment is inspected & free of damage or contamination.
Completes paperwork/documentation properly.
Uses a basic computer and or tablet for documentation purposes.
Operates handheld radio.
Daily housekeeping of the tractor being operated that day.
Reports any inconsistencies to the shift supervisor.
Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
Performs all other duties as assigned or needed by Holman.
