About The Position

We’re looking for a CDL Driver to play a vital role in powering communities across Florida by ensuring the safe and efficient transport of transformer equipment. In this position, you’ll be trusted to handle critical deliveries to utility companies and municipalities, helping keep essential infrastructure running smoothly. We are looking for a dependable professional who takes pride in safety, reliability, and teamwork. The ideal candidate will be willing to support warehouse operations such as organizing inventory, loading and unloading equipment, running local errands and other tasks as needed. This is primarily a weekday, local/regional role—allowing you to enjoy consistent routes and minimal overnight travel while still making a meaningful impact.

Requirements

  • Valid CDL – Class A (Commercial Driver’s License)
  • Minimum 1 year of driving experience preferred
  • Strong backing and maneuvering skills in tight or confined spaces
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn technical aspects of transformer handling and refurbishment
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and secure heavy equipment and materials
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 90% throughout the State of Florida
  • Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
  • Hold valid and current driver's license, demonstrating reliability and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Available for extended and irregular hours as needed
  • Able to work outdoors in all weather, at heights (100+ ft), in confined spaces, and around high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery
  • Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and enduring extended physical activity
  • Requires good vision, hearing, and English proficiency for safe, effective communication in noisy environments

  • Experience hauling heavy equipment or oversized loads is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles including Freightliner tractor with semi-trailer, Flatbed trailer, Gooseneck trailer
  • Perform scheduled deliveries and pickups of transformers with utility companies and local municipalities
  • Secure loads properly and ensure compliance with DOT safety regulations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any issues
  • Demonstrate the ability to safely back a tractor-trailer rig (including on a two-lane road at the company warehouse)
  • Assist with loading and unloading transformers and related equipment
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Coordinate with operations team on delivery schedules and routing
  • Support basic transformer refurbishment processes (training provided)
  • Organize and maintain inventory, parts, and materials
  • Pick up parts and supplies from vendors during slower periods
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
