CDL Driver - KS & TX
About The Position
Railserve is hiring dependable, safety-focused CDL Drivers in Kansas and Texas to support rail construction and operations projects. This is a full-time, hands-on role responsible for transporting equipment, materials, and tools to job sites while supporting field operations. In this role, you will safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle, assist with loading and unloading equipment, and support field teams as needed. You will play a critical role in ensuring materials and equipment are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT and FRA regulations. Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Ability to secure loads safely to trailers
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to travel regularly and stay overnight as needed
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and job site environments
- Ability to operate in construction zones and uneven terrain
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check
- Strong attention to safety and detail
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A truck hauling equipment on flatbed and lowboy trailers
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical and safety issues and perform basic preventive maintenance
- Report any defects or maintenance needs to internal teams
- Maneuver trucks in tight environments such as construction zones and active job sites
- Load, secure, and unload equipment and materials safely
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Maintain proper documentation for deliveries, inspections, and incidents
- Assist with labor or equipment operation tasks as needed
- Wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned
