About The Position

PODS is hiring a local CDL Driver to deliver and pick up PODS containers in residential and business settings. The role involves safely operating a commercial truck equipped with a specialized lift mechanism, interacting directly with customers, and ensuring deliveries are completed professionally, efficiently, and without incident. Drivers remain within their local territory and return home daily; there are no over-the-road requirements. When not driving, the driver assists with storage center operations, forklift use, and light container maintenance.

Requirements

Valid CDL license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Possess or be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card.
At least 3 months of professional driving experience.
No moving violations in the past three years.
Strong spatial relations and ability to park and maneuver in tight residential spaces.
Able to climb in and out of the cab using three points of contact.
Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds or apply up to 40 pounds of pressure to operate equipment.
Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Customer-focused, with a commitment to service excellence.
Strong basic math skills and ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with a lift mechanism to load and unload containers.
Complete local deliveries and pickups while following DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep the truck cab and equipment clean and inspection-ready.
Use company-provided handheld devices for navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication.
Interact with customers, answer questions, determine suitable container placement, and ensure containers are clean and presentable.
Assist with storage center functions, operate a forklift, and perform light container maintenance.
