About The Position

Mason County Garbage, a Waste Connections Company, is seeking a safety-conscious, reliable, and motivated Class B CDL Garbage Truck Driver for a stable, full-time career in Shelton, WA. This position offers great pay, benefits, and the opportunity to be home every night. While previous waste industry experience is a plus, it is not required as training will be provided for the right candidate. The schedule is Monday-Friday, starting at 6 AM, with occasional Saturdays. You can expect to work approximately 45 hours per week, with overtime eligibility, and will drive either an ASL Truck or a roll-off truck based on operational needs.

Requirements

Valid Class B CDL with air brakes endorsement
Clean driving record (please bring a copy of your MVR to the in-person interview)
Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Safety-Sensitive – YES

Nice To Haves

Previous waste industry experience
Ability to operate 10-, 13-, and 18-speed transmissions
High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

Safely operate a garbage truck on designated routes to collect solid waste.
Read route sheets and service each customer listed or assigned by the dispatcher.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles, including checking fluids, safety equipment, and tires.
Perform a physically demanding job, including loading and unloading, sometimes without assistance.
Operate hydraulic hand controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of trash at designated facilities.
Interact courteously with customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
