Requirements

  • Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL
  • Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Ability to operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Ability to unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
  • Ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
  • Adherence to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
  • Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Ability to follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
  • Ability to use proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
  • Ability to attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company
  • Ability to attend and participate in all required company training programs
  • Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
  • Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
  • Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs
  • Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces
  • Ability to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles
  • Ability to understand and use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
  • Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service
  • Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment
  • Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
  • Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively
  • The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
  • Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
  • Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
  • Use proper lifting techniques
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
  • Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs
