Requirements

Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL
Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience
Works well in a team environment
Ability to operate company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Ability to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ability to unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
Ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
Adherence to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Ability to follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements
Ability to use proper lifting techniques
Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
Ability to attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company
Ability to attend and participate in all required company training programs
Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation
Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
Occasionally lift and/or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs
Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces
Ability to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles
Ability to understand and use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts

Responsibilities

Safely operates company vehicles, including up to 26’ trucks, in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, providing excellent customer service
Additional training such as Forklift, and other specified equipment may be required
Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment
Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously, always representing the company positively
The ability to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
