About The Position

As a Truck Driver Trainee, you will spend 10 weeks attending classes to receive your CDL license. Upon licensure, trainees will begin training with an existing Von Maur Truck Driver completing yard duty. After successfully completing yard duty training, you will develop into a full time Von Maur Yard Duty Driver.

Requirements

• Must obtain CDL license within 10 weeks
• Maintain good attendance at CDL class
• Ability to drive semi-tractor and trailer(s)
• Ability to load and unload 28 and 48 foot trailers
• Ability to inspect truck daily and take truck for maintenance when needed
• Abide by all DOT policies, rules and regulations
• Ability to keep a log of mileage, stops taken, inspections, and maintenance

Responsibilities

• Attend CDL classes to obtain license and maintain good attendance at CDL class

• Work in the distribution center when yard moves are not required
