About The Position

The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of roof trusses, floor trusses, wall panels, and related building materials to customer job sites. This position ensures loads are properly secured, delivered without damage, and unloaded safely while providing excellent customer service and maintaining compliance with all DOT regulations.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL required.
Clean driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
Current DOT Medical Card.
Ability to read delivery documents, maps, and job site instructions.
Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice To Haves

Experience operating tractor-trailers and delivering building materials preferred.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL trucks and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Transport trusses, wall panels, and building materials to customer locations.
Inspect vehicles, trailers, and equipment before and after each trip.
Secure loads using approved tie-down methods to prevent damage during transport.
Verify delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures as required.
Communicate delivery status, delays, and job site conditions to dispatch and management.
Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentation.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures.
Maintain a clean and professional appearance of assigned equipment.
