About The Position

MEI Rigging & Crating is seeking a CDL Driver/Rigger for their location in Rayville, LA. This role is part of a rigging crew responsible for driving equipment to customer sites and working with heavy equipment at customer plants and construction sites. This is a Monday - Friday night shift position, 6pm - 6am, and is a local role. MEI Rigging & Crating has grown into one of the largest providers of rigging, machinery moving, millwrighting, mechanical installation, industrial storage, crating, and export packing services in the United States. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL and clean motor vehicle record (MVR)
Minimum two (2) years driving experience at CDL level with Van and Flatbeds/must have experience with manual transmissions
Minimum one (1) year of industrial experience or comparable experience within the construction service industry.

Responsibilities

Drives safely and under DOT regulations tractor & trailer rigs to transport equipment and crews to job sites.
Requires safe handling of loads, securement of loads, loading and unloading of equipment.
Dismantles and store rigging equipment after use.
Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment — Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, scissor lifts, tractor trailers, telehandlers, aerial boom lifts, etc.
Basic knowledge of operating equipment (Forklifts, man lifts, mobile platform lifts, etc.)
Experienced knowledge of load securing and safe hauling practices
Ability to use tape measure; hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
