About The Position

The CDL Driver / Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and products to and from job sites, customer locations, and branch facilities. This role also supports warehouse operations, including loading/unloading, inventory control, and maintaining an organized and safe work environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting operational excellence and delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Requirements

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A or B (as required by position)
  • Clean driving record in accordance with company and insurance requirements
  • Ability to meet DOT physical and medical certification requirements
  • Forklift certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Basic computer skills for logs, tracking, and communication

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in driving, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety practices and compliance standards

Responsibilities

  • Operate commercial vehicles (CDL required) in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies
  • Transport materials, tools, and equipment to customer sites and branch locations
  • Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling and securement
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks; report any issues promptly
  • Assist with warehouse operations including receiving, stocking, picking, and inventory management
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipping documents, and required compliance records
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner
  • Follow all safety protocols and actively promote a culture of safety
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries and interactions
  • Support general yard and facility upkeep as needed
