About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver II is responsible for operating and maintaining a delivery truck and trailer. This role involves ensuring safe loading and transportation of materials, accurate completion of paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

Class A CDL
Overhead crane experience
4+ years OTR experience
Knowledge and understanding of 5S process
Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass a driver’s background check
Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently
Good eye-hand coordination
Basic math skills

Responsibilities

Participate in and facilitate morning safe start meetings.
Perform Foreman duties in his/her absence.
Responsible for the development and training of other team members.
Maintain exemplary 5S standards to keep vehicle clean and ensure a safe work area.
Safely load and transport material to/from customers as instructed by supervisor.
Ensure all delivery paperwork is complete and accurate.
Load/unload of delivery truck ensuring products on delivery ticket match products loaded.
Prep and package material for delivery.
Complete pre-operation checklist on truck prior to use.
Comply with all maintenance and preventative maintenance requirements.
Complete daily log/mileage books accurately and legibly.
Act as a company liaison providing excellent customer service and on-time deliveries.
Provide accurate, detailed, timely paperwork and reports to management.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
