About The Position

The Class A CDL Driver I is responsible for operating and maintaining a delivery truck and trailer. This role involves safely loading and transporting materials to and from customers, ensuring all delivery paperwork is complete and accurate, and providing excellent customer service. The driver will also be responsible for maintaining the vehicle, completing daily logs, and adhering to safety standards.

Requirements

Class A CDL
Overhead crane experience
2-3 years OTR experience
Must be able to pass a driver’s background check
Ability to exert up to 80 pounds of force occasionally, up to 40 pounds of force frequently, and up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Ability to prioritize and use time efficiently
Good eye-hand coordination
Basic math skills

Responsibilities

Participate in morning safe start meetings.
Safely load and transport material to/from customers as instructed by supervisor.
Ensure all delivery paperwork is complete and accurate.
Load/unload of delivery truck ensuring products on delivery ticket match products loaded.
Comply with all maintenance and preventative maintenance requirements.
Complete daily log/mileage books accurately and legibly.
Serve as a company liaison providing excellent customer service and on-time deliveries.
Provide accurate, detailed, timely paperwork and reports to management.
Maintain exemplary 5S standards to keep vehicle clean and ensure a safe work area.
Complete pre-operation checklist on truck prior to use.
Prep and package material for delivery.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
